Due to maintenance work, break downs, building bylaw changes, or any reason that could prevent access during a guest stay to any common area amenities will not be compensated.

    As a recently bereaved and former, long-time resident of both the James Bay and Fairfield neighborhoods, I chose this artistically and pleasingly decorated suite for a two-month, mid-winter chance to reconnect with old friends and renew my spirits after a difficult summer and fall. The location was perfect, and though I drove my car down from up-island, I seldom used it.
    What did I do? I walked everywhere: Beacon Hill Park, the Dallas Road promenade from Clover to Ogden Points; lunched with friends and companions at favourite bistro-cafes (downtown, the Tapa Bar & Il Terazzo; in James Bay, the Heron Rock Bistro & J.B. Pub; in the Cook Street Village, Prima Strada Pizzeria (first authentically licensed Tuscan pizza on the island) & The Beagle. A former Victoria Y member, I took out a two-month guest pass -- and used it regularly! And as a special treat on a few Tues evenings, met a daughter at Zambri's (Yates & Blanchard) for Happy Hour Wine & Appies (great prices), then walked across the street for a 7:00 p.m. showing of Oscar contending movies. (Tues is discount movie night at both the Odeon and the Cineplex, and you can buy a seat, a recliner, on-line.)
    On a different note, the kitchen was perfectly equipped with top-of-the-line dishware, appliances, etc., and when a problem occurred with an electric coffee pot, a friendly EMR rep replaced it immediately with a new one.
    And I forgot to mention above that the Cook Street Village Starbucks is the friendliest and most laid-back in town, with great people watching from the patio or window counter!

    We booked the condo for medical reasons and wanted to be comfortable cueing our stay. We found the condo to be very well located and more than comfortable. ,when we arrived, since this was th first rental of this unit,mothered were a couple of things missing and EMR responded immediately - delivering them the next day . Kitchen was well stocked and we did leave a couple of suggestions as to things that would make it even better. Internet was very good and they provided basic cable service. We were able to walk to many places which was very nice. Cook street is very close, as is fort street and downtown. Overall, we would definitely recommend The Burdett Condo.
